Mmmm. Tastes Good.

No, not solid food.... instead EVERYTHING that comes into Millie's view.
She sure does love putting anything in her mouth.

Such as:

toys...

fingers...

bottom lip...

even toes (I am still trying to get a picture of that one)

but her new favorite...

her entire fist!

How is that even possible?

She even took a bite during her baptism...

Her mama and daddy were so proud.

Yummy!

(Thanks "Miss Vera Lynn" for the pictures from the church!)

Millie's Baptism

Sunday was such a special day for our little family.  Sweet Millie was baptized at my church in Augusta!  Since we've only been in North Carolina for a little bit, we were so grateful to be able to have Dr. Robertson (who also married us) be a part of Millie's special time.
Our prayer for Millie is that she would know and understand the richness of God's love for her and that she would follow him all the days of her life.  She has blessed our lives more than I thought possible and I thank the Lord for her every day!!

What a precious girl!

We were so proud of Millie!  She did so well in church.  This Sunday our church had the "Kirkin' O' the Tartans" and Millie seemed to enjoy the bagpipes!  During the baptism, she was so cute and even reached out for the water while Dr. Robertson put it on her head.

Sadly we didn't get any pictures at the church, but we did get some pictures at my parents house.  Mom did an amazing job of making lunch so nice and special!

The gown that was worn by the past 4 generations that Millie's Great-Great Grandmother made!

Millie looked like an angel in it!

The food was so good!

And so was the pretty cake!

The flowers were so pretty!

And so was this little girl!

So many people who love her came to celebrate...

Millie and her Nonnee

Millie and her Aunt Kat... aka GAK =)

Millie so happy with her Aunt Mary!

She is also so lucky to have such amazing grandparents!

Her Annie and Jaybo came all the way from Birmingham!!

Millie with her Emmie and Doc!

She is also so lucky to have such wonderful GREAT Grandparents!!

Millie and Dee Dee!

 Baba and Gangan!

Nonnee and Papa!

She loves her Aunt Say Say, Aunt May May, and cousin Barrett!

And her Aunt Mimi and Uncle Allen!

Oh yeah, and she loves her Mama and Daddy...

We TRIED to get pictures of Millie and her cousins, but these were the best we got...

(I love Charlie's face in this one.  Clearly he is totally over the pictures.)

And these 2 are one funny pair...

I was so proud of my Millie girl and she couldn't have been any cuter!

After it was all said and done, Millie did lots of this...

Philippians 1:9-11
And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.

Happy Game Day

Those are the first words out of Brown's mouth every Saturday during the fall.
He told me when we were dating that he was obsessed with Auburn football.  I thought I understood what that meant...but clearly I had no idea.  It is ALL he thinks about....All year long.

This past Saturday, I could tell he was missing his partner in crime, Scott, who talks football with him 24/7.  It seems that no one really cares much about football up here, and I am not that knowledgeable on all the football stuff...so to cheer him up, I put Millie in this...

Her "vintage" Auburn dress that my sweet friend Susan found at a consignment store.  It was a tiny bit big, but Millie pulled it off...and it made her daddy happy!

Millie didn't have much to say when daddy tried to talk about football stuff.

But she was prepared to give him hugs if Auburn didn't pull through...

She felt bad pulling against Clemson (since her great great grandfather coached there, her great grandfather played there, and her Aunt Mimi went there)...

But she had to remain loyal to her tigers...Auburn tigers that is.

Some of our "pre-game" activities included going on our daily walk....

sitting outside looking up at our tree....

(It is one of our favorite things to do).

And doing some of this...

(I try to tell her that sucking her bottom lip is not very intelligent looking).

Thankfully, Auburn won....so her superstitious daddy says that she has to wear her dress every game day.
War Eagle!
