Two Peas in a Pod

These two might be the cutest 2 1/2 year olds I know.
And when they are together, there is bound to be lots of fun and activity going on.

They definitely keep their mamas on their toes, but I guess it just makes things more exciting :)

We usually explain their relationship by saying: they LOVE each other like sisters, and they can fight like sisters!  Its pretty normal to hear screaming and crying, and then in the next breath hear laughing and giggling.

They like to "get into trouble" together.
Anytime it gets "too quite" we know that we need to go find them... usually they are found jumping on a bed somewhere, or trying to escape to go outside; but nothing beats when they were found after breaking into Doc's closet, both with a fishing rod in hand (with hook still on), swinging them around like a wand.

One things for sure, they absolutely ADORE each other.  Not a day goes by that Millie doesn't ask to go see Mimi "Rarrett."

They are both so sweet and silly!
And one things for sure-- they are not lacking in the personality department...

Can you tell?

They are both very independent-- so its a good thing they have these boys to keep them in line...

and sometime soon, this one will be trying to join the fun...

They are always looking out for each other and want to do everything together.

I'm so grateful that they have each other and for their sweet friendship!

3 Months

Last week Sims turned 3 months old!

Its crazy how much she has changed in just a few weeks!  She did have some pretty big milestones this past month.  Sleeping 12 hours and rolling over were the big ones.  Now she is "talking" all the time.  She has the cutest little voice!

She eats 4 times a day and naps 3 times - 2 "formal" naps, and one "cat nap" in her chair around 5:30.
Thankfully, she is a much better napper than Millie was at this age.

She is SUCH a precious baby, and she absolutely melts my heart.
I am constantly hugging and kissing this baby.
Who could resist this??....

I feel like with Millie, I was always anticipating the next stage, but with Sims I feel like I am clinging for her to stay a baby!  She is growing TOO fast!

I feel like just yesterday, Millie was 3 months...

Now that 3 month old is running around the yard while I take pictures of her baby sister...

One things for sure, both 3 month olds liked relaxing under our tree in the front yard.
Sims taking pictures at 3 months on left; Millie taking 3 month pictures on the right...

Happy 3 months my precious Sims!!

We are so blessed to have you!!

My precious Millie,

Its hard to believe that you are 2 1/2!!  Since the 2 year post you have grown up SO much.  Maybe its because I see you next to your baby sister, but you are such a "big girl" now!

You are such a precious girl, and you are so funny and silly!
You are very dramatic and have 10,000 different facial expressions.  You talk all the time and are very curious.   You also talk in 3rd person, which makes me laugh.

You are sweet and compassionate to others.  You are also very strong willed and know exactly what you want.  You are fiercely independent and want to do everything by yourself.  You are shy and quiet in any new environment, but once you are comfortable you are a social butterfly.

You LOVE music and you love to sing and dance.  You sing non stop.  Some of your favorite songs are, "Twinkle Twinkle," "Doe a Dear," "Skinnamarinkadinkadink," "ABC's," "Happy Birthday," and any WeeSing Bible songs.
You also like to make up your own songs.
You are a dancing machine- and I think you got your dance moves from your dada :)

You love animals.  Puppies in the neighborhood can't walk past without you petting it and talking "baby talk" to them.

You LOVE school and love your teachers.  You have made sweet little friends and talk about them all the time- especially Haylee.

You amaze us with all that you know.  You have the best memory and we can't ever get anything past you.  You can now identify all of the uppercase letters and you can even tell us what sound every letter makes!

Last month you had a 2 1/2 year check up, and you are growing perfectly!

Height: 3 ft. 2 in. -- 88%
Weight: 32 lb. 4 oz. -- 84%

You adore your baby sister, and she adores you.  You are constantly wondering what she is doing.  You love giving her "eskimo kisses" and you love making her smile.  You are such a good helper with her-- you love to bounce her bouncy seat if she is fussy, and you like to give her the "paciflower."  I can't wait to watch your relationship grow.

You are such a joy in our lives and we are so proud of you!

Halloween...better late than never

Its a month late, but our "pink fairy" had such a fun Halloween!

She was very excited about her costume and made sure that anyone who asked knew she was a "PINK fairy."  And a beautiful pink fairy she was!

This year she actually could understand the concept of "trick-or-treating," and she had the best time!

Sims decided this year, she would opt out of dressing up and just went as a baby.

Even though we think she was a little jealous of all Millie's pink frills.

There was a street party and parade with some of the neighborhood kids, so we went with our sweet friends who happen to live a few houses down.  Millie LOVES Henry and they looked pretty cute if I do say so...

Sims' friend Mary Lyndon was the most precious little flower!  Here she is with her sweet mama, Alyson.  (Ironically, Alyson and I were due with Sims and Mary Lyndon on the EXACT same day!  But ML came a week early, and Sims came a week late)

The "parade"....

Millie had the best time "marching."

When the marching was done, there was lots of eating...

lots of playing with Henry in the leaves...

and lots of relaxing...

Then there was even more playing in the leaves...

Someone was so sad when it was all over!

Happy (late) Halloween!
Love, the Pink Fairy
