2 Years!

Of course, I am almost a month late, but May 3rd, our precious little girl turned TWO years old!!

Millie, you have absolutely captured our hearts and we couldn't imagine life without you!!
You bring us so much joy and are so much fun!!

You are such a silly girl and have the funniest personality!
You know how to get a laugh and your facial expressions are priceless.

You still LOVE being outside, and you love to explore.  You like finding birds, flowers, bees (boo boo bees), rocks, and sticks, and you get SO excited when you hear/see "air-panes," "hel-copters," and "mota-cycle."
You love trucks, and when you see them you always say, "Woah! Big truck!"  You especially love the garbage truck, and the garbage men love you-- every Thursday morning they see you standing at the door and they wave and honk their horn, just for you!!

You LOVE animals and loved going to the zoo.

You are so smart and you amaze us everyday in what you know!!
You're extremely verbal and remember everything we say.

Since you were 19 months you've been able to say all of your ABCs!!  (and we have no clue how you learned them!)  Recently you started singing the ABCs instead of just saying them, and the "LMNOP" part sometimes gets you, but you don't seem phased one bit.  You like to sing it LOUD all the time.  Especially in the grocery store.

You can count all the way up to 14!  After 14, you say 16, 19, 2teen-- 2teen makes us laugh a lot.

You know all of your colors: red, blue, green, purple, orange, yellow, pink, black, white, and even grey!

You even know lots of shapes: circle, square, triangle, rectangle, oval, diamond, star, heart, and even octagon (or as you call it "ocogon")!

You LOVE music!  Your favorite songs that you constantly request in the car are: "Someone Like You" by Adele (which you call "Ooooh song"), "Ours" by Taylor Swift,  and "How Great Thou Art" by Carrie Underwood (which you call "Jesus song").  You also love the entire Lady Antebellum CD.  You like to pick out the instruments in the song and get so excited when you hear "peeno" (piano), "drums," and "tar"(guitar).  You also like the music LOUD.  I LOVE hearing you try to sing along with the songs!

You also love to dance, and you have the cutest "boogie woogie" I've ever seen.

You are growing up so much!
At your check up, the doctor called you "tall and skinny" which I told him you did NOT get from your mama.

Height: 3 ft - 92%
Weight:  27 lb. 16 oz. - 67%
Head: 18.75 in. - 54%

You've been in the 90+ percentile in height since you were born, and I have no idea where you got this height!

You love books.  Your favorites right now are "Snuggle Puppy," "Barnyard Dance," and any of your "princess books."

You also love Mickey Mouse (especially Minnie), Dora the Explorer,  Boz, and Little Einsteins.

You are obsessed with buckles.  Obsessed.  Babies in car seats need to watch out, because you attack their buckles.  You are one of the few children who like to buckle themselves into grocery carts.  If I try to help you, you say, "No mama. Millie buckle."

Your cousin, Mimi Barrett, has really gotten you into your "jewels."  You love jewelry- especially necklaces.  You really love your pink crocs, and you definitely have an opinion on what you wear.  You also really like to carry your purse with you when you go shoppin' with mama.

Your hair has gotten longer, and you have such sweet little curls.

You are very opinionated and you know what you want...and what you don't want.

You still hate when I get the camera out to take pictures of you.  You usually give me faces like this...

But you have started to smile for the camera a little bit more, which makes me happy.

You like to kiss mama's tummy and say, "baby sister!"
You have NO idea how you little life is going to change in August.
Your baby sister is coming and you will have to share your mama and dada.
One thing I do know is that this baby is the luckiest little girl to have YOU as a big sister.

Thank you for bringing so much joy in my life, Millie.  You mean more to me than you will ever know.

I love you SO much!

Double Trouble

Oh how these two just melt my heart.

They are two peas in a pod...

and are so funny...

They like to do everything together...

like play the piano...

sing songs with Doc...

play outside...

tag team against the boys...

and sometimes get into mischief together...

When they are not together, ALL Millie asks about is her "Mimi Rarrett," as she calls her.

They are so entertaining and have such funny personalities.... clearly...

It brings me so much joy to know that they will always have each other!

I can't wait to watch their relationship grow.
