My precious Millie,

Its hard to believe that you are 2 1/2!!  Since the 2 year post you have grown up SO much.  Maybe its because I see you next to your baby sister, but you are such a "big girl" now!

You are such a precious girl, and you are so funny and silly!
You are very dramatic and have 10,000 different facial expressions.  You talk all the time and are very curious.   You also talk in 3rd person, which makes me laugh.

You are sweet and compassionate to others.  You are also very strong willed and know exactly what you want.  You are fiercely independent and want to do everything by yourself.  You are shy and quiet in any new environment, but once you are comfortable you are a social butterfly.

You LOVE music and you love to sing and dance.  You sing non stop.  Some of your favorite songs are, "Twinkle Twinkle," "Doe a Dear," "Skinnamarinkadinkadink," "ABC's," "Happy Birthday," and any WeeSing Bible songs.
You also like to make up your own songs.
You are a dancing machine- and I think you got your dance moves from your dada :)

You love animals.  Puppies in the neighborhood can't walk past without you petting it and talking "baby talk" to them.

You LOVE school and love your teachers.  You have made sweet little friends and talk about them all the time- especially Haylee.

You amaze us with all that you know.  You have the best memory and we can't ever get anything past you.  You can now identify all of the uppercase letters and you can even tell us what sound every letter makes!

Last month you had a 2 1/2 year check up, and you are growing perfectly!

Height: 3 ft. 2 in. -- 88%
Weight: 32 lb. 4 oz. -- 84%

You adore your baby sister, and she adores you.  You are constantly wondering what she is doing.  You love giving her "eskimo kisses" and you love making her smile.  You are such a good helper with her-- you love to bounce her bouncy seat if she is fussy, and you like to give her the "paciflower."  I can't wait to watch your relationship grow.

You are such a joy in our lives and we are so proud of you!

Halloween...better late than never

Its a month late, but our "pink fairy" had such a fun Halloween!

She was very excited about her costume and made sure that anyone who asked knew she was a "PINK fairy."  And a beautiful pink fairy she was!

This year she actually could understand the concept of "trick-or-treating," and she had the best time!

Sims decided this year, she would opt out of dressing up and just went as a baby.

Even though we think she was a little jealous of all Millie's pink frills.

There was a street party and parade with some of the neighborhood kids, so we went with our sweet friends who happen to live a few houses down.  Millie LOVES Henry and they looked pretty cute if I do say so...

Sims' friend Mary Lyndon was the most precious little flower!  Here she is with her sweet mama, Alyson.  (Ironically, Alyson and I were due with Sims and Mary Lyndon on the EXACT same day!  But ML came a week early, and Sims came a week late)

The "parade"....

Millie had the best time "marching."

When the marching was done, there was lots of eating...

lots of playing with Henry in the leaves...

and lots of relaxing...

Then there was even more playing in the leaves...

Someone was so sad when it was all over!

Happy (late) Halloween!
Love, the Pink Fairy

The 10 week mark was a big week for our little Sims.

The first big "milestone" for the week was that she slept 12 hours!!  Yay!!  No more nighttime feedings!  She did it a week earlier than Millie, and I am so proud of her!  We worked hard, but it was worth it!

The second big milestone was that she has rolled over!  Twice!  But of course no one even saw it.
I put her down on her activity mat on her back, went into the kitchen, and came back to find her on her tummy!  Millie completely skipped that milestone all together and never rolled over.

Sweet Sims is growing too fast!!

2 Months

Last week my precious baby turned 2 months old!

She such a sweet baby.  She is smiling and "cooing" all the time and is interacting so much more now!  She LOVES her big sister and loves to watch her and smile at her.  And her big sister LOVES helping with her.  She likes to bounce her in her seat, put the pacifier in her mouth, and play with her on her activity mat.

She did have some bad reflux issues which broke my heart, but is now on Prevacid and is a new baby.  Feeding are no longer a nightmare-- she still spits up a TON, but is thankfully no longer in pain.

Around 6 weeks I pushed her to eat every 4 hours-- at 7:30, 11:30, 3:30, and 7:30.  She gets up once at night (right now around 5:30), and we are right in the middle of "bootcamp" to wean that feeding.  Hopefully she will be going 12 hours like her sister did soon!  This time around bootcamp it is completely different since I am nursing Sims.  Its a lot more difficult, but we are working hard and she is doing well!

I am worried that she is taking after her sister in the picture posing department.  She will be smiling and so happy, but the second I get the camera, the smiles go away.  Hopefully I will get a good smiling picture soon!

She did great at her 2 month checkup.
Weight: 12 lb. 11oz - 80%
Height: 23 1/2 in. - 91%
Head: 15 in. - 54%

Even though she is only 2 months, I can't imagine my life without her!!  She is such a joy in our lives and a blessing from the Lord!

Pumpkin Carving

Last year Millie didn't really understand or realize that our pumpkin was even carved; but this year she could wait!!

She wasn't sure about the insides of the the pumpkin...

so she left all the messy work to the pumpkin carving master...

She did give him some encouragement and praise for his hard work...

but for the most part she got distracted by the pretty fall foliage in the yard...

and her own reflection that she found in her porringer.

Even Sims got in on all the pumpkin carving fun...

Everyone was happy with the final product!

Can you tell?

What a fun time of year!
